How the duct system is cleaned

For standard residential service, Power Vac uses professional Hypervac truck-mounted equipment. An 8-inch hose connects the truck's vacuum system to the main supply and return-air trunk lines near the furnace, creating negative pressure through the ductwork.

With the system under pressure, technicians clear every supply vent and cold-air return using high-PSI compressed air. Rods and agitation whips loosen contaminants and debris inside the main lines so the material moves toward the truck-mounted vacuum and containment system.

The furnace area is the connection point for the truck-mounted system, so customers should provide a clear path to it. Access to vents and returns throughout the home allows the technicians to work through the complete duct network.
